Join West Houston Assistance Ministries (WHAM) on May 18, 2024 at the 5th Annual Spring Dash 5K/1K to raise money to fight poverty and hunger in West Houston.

Dress in your fanciest cape and superhero outfit and run our 5K/1K, helping us fight against poverty and hunger in Houston.

The WHAM Spring Dash will run along the Westchase District trails. While the route does not utilize any public streets, portions of the trails run alongside busy streets. Please be aware of your surroundings at all times and stay on the trails. Do not run on public streets. View Course Map Here

After your heroic run and fight against poverty (POW!), all superheroes will get to take a break, receive a finisher medal, and enjoy the food, drinks, fun activities, and raffles that will be at the Super Post-Race Party. Super Pets on leashes are also welcome to join in the run and fun.

Since 1982, West Houston Assistance Ministries has been providing free, life-changing services that foster self-sufficiency in those struggling to meet their basic needs.

We feed children, families, seniors, and the homeless, offer financial aid with rent and bills to prevent eviction and disconnection of vital services, and provide employment services, education, and training to give the unemployed and underemployed the opportunity to learn new skills so they can find meaningful work.  Annually, we help over 115,000 people across these and other seasonal programs that help and empower families during and out of their most desperate moments.
